Finally, Apple has laid to rest fevered speculation by unveiling its long-awaited tablet PC, called the iPad.
Steve Jobs, Apple's chief executive unveiled the touchscreen device at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco introducing it as a "third category" between smartphones and laptops. It looks like a large iPhone, can be used to watch films, store photos and browse the web.
Mr Jobs says the device lets people "hold the whole web in your hands". "What this device does is extraordinary. It is the best browsing experience you have ever had," he claims. The iPad also has iTunes software built in, allowing users to purchase songs and movies straight to the device.

On 15 January, Apple filed a complaint with the US International Trade Commission (ITC) asking it to block Nokia imports to the US.
This is the latest move in a chess game of legal proceedings that started in October when Finnish firm Nokia sued Apple, claiming that Apple's iPhone infringed ten of its patents. Apple countered by filing its own lawsuit against Nokia, saying the phone maker had copied certain aspects of the iPhone and infringed thirteen of its patents.
In late December, Nokia filed a further claim with the ITC, alleging Apple infringed seven of its patents in "virtually all of its mobile phones, portable music players, and computers".
Apple is also being sued by camera maker Kodak over technology used in the iPhone.

This is a timely piece of news. I had no idea that Apple and Nokia were fighting each other.
The iPad will be yet another toy for the rich, while the poor will struggle for basic information.
yet another fight between world's two top most companies. lets hope the fight will bring some good news to the customers.. From normal music player to mp3 player frm mp3 to Ipod nd now from Ipod to Ipad we have come across various range and varieties of musical devices. now with the idea of launching an Ipad will sure gonna make life fast, moving and entertaining for the rich. I was completely oblivious about the fight between APPLE and NOKIA and any other related to APPLE. Well it's business and war is one of its characteristics. Undoubtedly, the launch of Ipad is an extraordinary gift for gadets lovers. But its unique features can only be experienced by its awaiting customers after the settlement of disputes between the two top renowned companies of the world. Otherwise it's time to watch the war and hoping for some positive results.
it is a great revolution in the world of smart-phone, will influence the people who want to be with new emerging technologies. dispute between nokia and apple is the matter of concern, two big giant of cellular services should not create these type of dispute, it will affect the mindset of people towards these trusted companies.

I was already aware of the ipad being launched by Apple. Again a new show piece for the techies, corporate and the rich and a new revolution in the feild of technology. The fight between Apple and Nokia was new to me. Hope they keep their audience in mind and settle the issue for the best. As from the customer’s side, we care and look for the product. Hoping for some positive results from both the companies.

The iPad kinda sucks... but watch out for iPad next generation - that may be something!
It is very interesting to see an another innovation in technological advancement.No doubt I-pad seems to be more convenient than the i-pod, but Apple will have to convince consumes, many of whom already have internet connected phones, computers and TV.Moreover, Tablet computers are there for about a decade but with a very little success.So we will have to wait &watch.Also, it will be interesting to see the further turns of battle between Apple & Nokia.But overall, we can say that its amazing!

I was just unaware of this interesting news that there is a fight between Apple and Nokia. Well the copied issue is not a new thing, its very common. Yes, its good to know that a very small device lets people hold the whole web in a hand that called the iPad. But when we talk about the patent right then nobody won't to loose this right. As we know that before a week there was an issue of film "3 Idiots" and the novel "Five point some one", so its also like that. But people can analyse the differences and can judge the best one.
In this mechanical world, apple has long been known for making the latest technology easily available for the people.This time with the launch of its multifunctional i-pad its surely gonna rock the electronic market. But the conflict between Nokia and Apple regarding the copying of the technologies used in the making is quite disappointing for the customers like us. But its nothing new. Such controversies could be seen in the past as well. Hope that they will come up with a good solution, keeping their customers in mind and bringing the best to us.
