Race and Rant

I've had it. Fed up to the gills with all this 'Aussies are racist' claptrap.

First we had the Indian Media bleating about the bush and adding fuel to allegations of 'Racist attacks' on Indians in Oz.

Now we have news that at least two of those incidents were in fact created by Indians - one was an insurance fraud attempt, and the other was some Indian guys popping off another Indian guy.
For those people in the Indian media who still want to harp on 'sentiment', one would like to point out that unlike the caste-ridden and inefficient Police system in India, and unlike  our rickety Justice delivery system, the Aussies actually implement the Rule of Law. So instead of whipping up hysteria, let the Law in that Country take its own course.

The Rule of Law is something that's taking a big beating in India, isn't it?

Look at Raj Thakery, Bal Thakery and all those seditious creeps holding Bombay and the rest of Maharashtra to ransom.
You think the cartoon  is racist?

Yes?
Now what exactly are the great Thakerays telling the North Indians?
In so many words .. F' off you Biharis, UP wallahs and other S-O-B's.
And with all you worthy people in Maharashtra shutting up and s(h)itting around twiddling your thumbs and making no noises, aren't you abetting racist chaps like the T's.
Isn't threatening not to allow Pakis or Aussies to play cricket in Maharashtra racist and as jingoistic and  stupid as hell?

Wise man says: People who live in Glass house, shouldn't throw rocks. As Khushwant Singh pointed out recently, Oz has been a tremendous friend to India whenever we were in need.

A tale of two cities

It’s Sydney vs Melbourne, and also New Delhi vs Canberra, PAWAN LUTHRA opines

Sydney and Melbourne both have their share of international students. Youngsters of Indian origin have been arriving by the planeloads in the past few years as the education boom in Australia has fuelled their desire to come to Australia and seek greener pastures. While the ratio is more in favour of the Garden State, both cities have a high visibility of Indian students as they work at 7-11s, fast food outlets and petrol stations. Yet the violence against Indian students is deeply contrasted between Sydney and Melbourne.

Racialism has become a weapon for all these politicians like Thakreys who are no less than Kasab. That's what I think. Who the hell are they, to take decisions for others in a democratic country. Media should also avoid such statements made by them, which gives free publicity to these racial rascals.

Racism is not new to the world and especially to India. At present India is already witnessing it in the form of the 3 Thackerays… The funniest part is that, the whole country is aroused against the (so called) Indian victims of racism in Australia, but is silent when their own countrymen are being victims of the same within the country. That’s what is called Hypocrisy. It’s rightly said: ‘People who live in Glass house, shouldn't throw rocks’. Some Indians themselves invited trouble by creating nuisance and havoc in a foreign country, and it is absolutely justified by punishing such trouble makers. If a person does not know to behave in his own country then he must be taught to behave properly in the other country….

All sympathies to them and their families who have faced and suffered racism. The whole country is showing solidarity to those being attacked . GOSH!! We're such dangerous victim, aren't we? Diversity!what better place to witness it other than India.Looking into our own backyard,we'll be proud to find a sport where we can beat an Aussie any day with our hands down. North Indians and South Indians greet each other, so warmly that an Aussie would be embarrassed of the hospitality he offers. Divides here are more prevalent and visible.Come to North and instantly be labelled as a 'Maddu', if you'rea South Indian or a 'Chinki' ,if you are from North East. Go down south and you're looked upon as a man with no brains ,if you're from North. From UP or Bihar? You're everyone's 'Bhaiya' and if you're travelling to Mumbai, rest assured, a warm reception awaits you there.
Not that Aussie acts are justified, but if we are pointing a finger at them,do checkout that four points back to us at the same time. 'SHEER HYPOCRISY'. The Shiv Sena has threatened the IPL with disruption of IPL matches if Australian players are allowed to play in Mumbai. But the Thackeray and CO. are themselves staunch supporters of racism.
We cried when Aussie cricket team accused us of racist comments and going against ‘game spirit’. Isn’t the same happening here too? We’re just so good at playing victims. As Sonia said 'the so called victims'.
In no way I’m justifying attacks on Indians that have taken place but if we’re so aware of the pains that these abuses cause then we must introspect our actions as well.

We call ourselves victims of racism in Australia but isnt it ironical that we are biased even in our own country! Are we ready to voice our opinion against discrimination in our own country rather than creating a hype over incidents of racism in Oz without even being aware of the whole picture?
We call ourselves secular and our Constitution gives us the 'right to freedom of speech and expression'. I think its high time we realize these rights and make use of them without getting threatened by the hysteria created by anybody who differs!!!

Racism is one of the worst thing and it is very well devloped in our great India.Politicians like thakreys are one of the best example for this. They have no right to decide about others.whole country is protesting against the indian victims of racism in Australia but they haven't think even once about the indian victims of racism in India only.In india's matter everyone has kept silent.India is in worst condition than Australia.in austrlia other people are hurting us but in india our own people are hurting us so it's very rightly said for indians [people who live in glass house, shouldn't throw rocks]

Racial discrimination, the very word arises a feeling of revolt and revenge among the natives to be precise Indians even when the so called Indians are themselves a victim of it. There is a lot of hue & cry everytime some Indian is being molested outside. What about the molestation & threat that they suffer from within. No single day passes when there is some or the other news regarding racial discrimination within our own nation and by our so called caretakers like the thackreys. Who else other than Bihari can experience it better? The tag of "Bihar" is itself sufficient for being discriminated. But no one is there to raise voice for common people. Then why hype the issue when it comes to those living in abroad? It isn`t that I don`t sympathize with those being molested. But the major question is that why turn it into a political tantrum? Who are they to make law of not allowing Australian players for the IPL when they themselves don`t follow many.
As per my opinion using such a serious issue as a publicity stunt is not at all praiseworthy. And the mere idea that all these games of hyping this issue is being played by the Indians only is shocking. I strongly feel for the issue and has a strong desire for its control and not the disastrous outbreak as it will only divide nations and people

India is marred with discrimination, some treat fellow Indians like second class citizens. Mostly because of complexion and region of origin. No wonder fairness creams are a big hit. The fact is media and politicians should get over their "emotional" way of doing things and be real for once. I shall not rule out the view that some attackers are really Australians (though we can't call them racist either). A question should be asked is it "only" the Indians in Australia that have such a problem or even the natives are being bashed by thugs?
